Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect the minimum needed to ship your order, Stripe handles all payment security, and we never sell your information.
What we collect — and what we don’t
We collect only what we need to serve you. When you place an order we receive your name, email address, phone number and shipping address so we can send you your gifts and keep you updated. When you use our contact form we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. That is the full list. To understand how the site is used we run a privacy-friendly visitor count (Vercel Web Analytics) — it tallies page views and rough visitor numbers without cookies, without building a profile of you, and without collecting any personal information. We do not run advertising trackers or social media pixels on this site, and we never sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
Payments are handled by Stripe
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider used by millions of businesses worldwide. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and never touch our servers — we cannot see or store your card number. You can read more in Stripe's privacy policy.
Your shopping cart stays on your device
The items in your cart are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device so your cart is still there if you come back later. This information never leaves your browser until you choose to check out.
How long we keep order information
We keep order records (what was ordered, and the contact and shipping details for that order) as long as needed for order fulfilment, customer service, and our record-keeping obligations under New Zealand law. Order confirmation emails are sent from our own shop email address and are used only for your order.
Third-party content
Our contact page embeds a Google Map to help you find our store at Cathedral Junction. Google may set its own cookies inside that map frame — see Google's privacy policy. Product images are served from our own secure image hosting.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at info@forgetmenotgifts.co.nz and we'll sort it out promptly.
